i’m thankful for the presence of batman boy in my life. i’m thankful for the ways he’s helped me, supported me, pushed me, challenged me, and been there for me. i’m thankful for the honest friendship we have that allows us to disagree, to fight, to have each other’s backs, and to say the things we don’t always say to the people around us.
i’m thankful for the different phases our relationship has gone through and the way this latest season has drawn to a close. i’m thankful more than words can say for the past two years of his close friendship, as well as for the best friend he’s been to my brother and the secondary brother figure he’s been to my sister.
it’s been a good journey, from church friends to dance partners to people who can hug on the top of the stairs and discuss that one time we both were a little bit in love and wish each other well for the future. it’s been a good journey, and it’s not over yet, but to my batman boy?
godspeed and god bless this new adventure.
my favorite place for batman boy to be is in the corner of my room playing guitar
batman boy wrote sleeping at last lyrics on my wall
“you taught me the courage
of stars before you left
how rare and beautiful it is
to even exist...........................ditz”
my brother's watching b99 and my sister is writing an essay and batman boy is looking up poetry on his phone to write on my wall and im napping in the corner :))) this night is so Smol and comfy and warm :)))) i love all of us in my room
almost home after a roadtrip to arizona to see twenty one pilots (which was the best concert i have ever seen) -- the rest of today's agenda is cookies and brooklyn 99 and then smoking on the roof with batman boy
"on the one hand my dancing partner is a very nice and attractive young man. on the other hand i head-butted him in the groin today so."
/oh take me back to the start
"Music has been one of the chief culprits in the feminization of the church....The fact that the church has largely abandoned the singing of psalms means that the church has abandoned a songbook that is thoroughly masculine in its lyrics."
i'm sorry
WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY
"The writer of most of the psalms was a warrior, and he knew how to fight the Lord's enemies in song. With regard to the music of out psalms and hymns, we must return to a world of vigorous singing, vibrant anthems, more songs where the tenor carries the melody, open fifths, and glory."
SON I AM GOING TO KICK YOUR BUTT SO HARD YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO STAND FOR A WEEK AND THEN YOU CAN GO BACK TO SAYING OUR WORSHIP NEEDS TO BE MORE MASCULINE AGAIN BECAUSE WOMEN ARE WEAKLINGS WHO AREN'T VIBRANT, VIGOROUS, AND FIGHTING, ALSO THAT WE CAN'T SING CORRECTLY
