The toy biz lost a Legend today, Ham Woodhouse @hamtoy1 the man in the hat has left us. Ham was part of the team that hired me at Kenner and mentored me my first few years in toys. Ham was a mech-tech wizard and created many great #kennertoys. Ham was a singular classic, a genius with a heart of gold. I spent most of my career in his orbit and I am the better man for it. Years later I was able to hire Hams son onto my team (full circle). TBT Deluxe Lightwing Batman from Kenners 1996's Batman Forever line. This is the first toy work I did on my first day at Kenner/Hasbro. Ham Woodhouse had a working prototype model of his toy concept and had me help with the figure input. It was a great way to learn but also a clever move on Hams part, he had an extra set of hands freeing him to move on to his next genius model. Canister X Mailbag – Nightwing 12″ Action Figure Unboxing – Jan312025

This 12″ Nightwing action figure was a bit of a trick to get, as you will see in the video. The first time around, Amazon got the order wrong and sent the wrong figure. I was hesitant to try again, thinking maybe the folks in the warehouse had only the Stealth Armor Nightwing (which looks almost identical) instead of this regular one so were sending that as “good enough.” Well, “good enough” doesn’t work for this collector so a gamble was taken and, fortunately, it was a win.

This figure now matches my other, which is Nightwing in his red and black outfit. It’s the same figure, just with a different color, but I’m a completist on certain things so had to have both. I’m sure my fellow Wingnuts would understand.
