I saw your post about the Pokemon go tips. One thing is that you can turn on battery saver mode. When you turn your phone upside down, it'll turn off the screen but leave the app open. That way you can look around and still be alerted by sound/vibration if a Pokemon shows up. Plus the game won't eat up as much of your battery.
This too, thank you! I’ve been doing this since I’m a little over-stressed about my phone battery. It turns the screen black when the phone is upside-down, so theoretically when it’s in your pocket! It is a great combination with the headphone trick!!
Those seeking battery-saving tips in PokeGo:– turn on battery-saving mode in the settings– turn off the AR in the Pokemon-catching screen (there’s a switch in the upper right corner)– on your phone settings, turn off the automatic brightness and set your screen brightness to less than half (I know this works on iPhone, not sure about Android)– close other apps that might be running in the background; on an iPhone, double-click your home button and it shows you all your open apps, swipe them up to close them– bring a charger with you for cafes or other lounge areas in case you need to recharge– if you have a backup battery or a portable charging battery, bring them
