If you want to watch a film that shows the REALITY of colonialism (western powers such as UK and France taking control over smaller countries for the purpose of having an empire with material resource such as oil, minerals etc), then I fully recommend 'the Battle of Algiers' (1966). The brutality of colonialism that is mass murder, the unethical concealed methods of torture, the unhumane treatment of civilians caught in the crossfire that is NEVER discussed, MENTIONED or ACKNOWLEDGED by western countries is evidence of pure ignorance and purposeful concealment. Being ignorant of this makes them complicit towards these harms inflicted on many.
