Reaction to Battle Spirits Saga ending?
Essentially? Battle Spirits Saga suffered from fairly unexciting artwork (or looked bland) and relied on a very 'generic' Fantasy world setting. And relied on celebrity endorsements. And didn't do anything to meaningfully strike down Magic: The Gathering. Like. This is a bit unfair, but.
The reason of Battle Spirits became big (enough) in Japan is that it had a cartoon, and a stronger multimedia push and Bandai is the biggest fish in Japan, in terms of toy companies, while being an underdog in the west.
But also, Bandai killed Saga by drowning it in Union Arena, One Piece and other card games, and it's like the first of many games to die in a card game bubble that'll likely pop as part of a wider economic recession.
That will probably be caused by the ineptitude of the current U.S. Government.
Bandai was a bad steward.
