Battroborg Settles the Score

We came. We saw. We kicked some robot ass. Can I say ass in this post? Sure, why not? You see, there was a score to settle, and that score was between a bunch of dads, a few beers, a GameTruck full of awesome, and those robots I was talking about: Battroborg. Hilarity ensued.

It was all part of an official L.A. Dads Group meetup, and the good folks at GameTruck and Battroborg were kind enough to provide the entertainment.

We provided said scores to settle.

The Battroborg competition consisted mainly of grown men cursing loudly and taking out the frustrations of our reality upon the robots of each other. You know, bonding.

But that’s not all! Kids will most likely enjoy Battroborgs, too, because a) it’s a toy, and b) who doesn’t love cursing loudly?

It turns out that Toys “R” Us agrees, because they have named Battroborg to their “Hot Toy List” and you saw it here first.

What to do for Sandycation? I know, Battroborg robots! Over the summer I had my parents help me pick these awesome Tomy Battroborg 2.0 robots in Hong Kong. They're fun to play and it can get intense once they're locked into battle. But the only thing I dislike about these bots are the maneuverability. You'll be punching air for the most part of the fight to turn yourself around and to get close to your opponent.

So I did the next best thing and gave one of the bots tank treads. It's still a work in progress and it's coming along nicely.
