Hi! I hope you're doing well. My name is Tammy and I just started a blog where I'm posting short writing things... And since I'm not sure how to promote these writings to get feedback and stuff, maybe you could give me a hand? Or check it out? The tumblr username is robin-luna-writing . Thanks in advanced, and much love! xx
Hey there! I must admit that I am by no means an expert in the writeblr community, so I’m not sure how much advice I can give you, but I’ll try. A good rule of thumb is to reblog other’s work, with or without feedback. If you continue to do that, you’ll build up respect within the community.
A few other things to keep in mind when posting your stuff: tag it as #writeblr, #writeblr community, #writers on tumblr or #writers of tumblr, and the genre you write in. Keep reblogging your own work! Don’t be shy! It might take a while, but you will get some feedback, I promise
.And actually, @pens-swords-stuff has two excellent posts on how to gain popularity within the community, which I highly recommend you check out. They can be found here and here. And when I have time, I will definitely check your stuff out as well. I love making new friends.
Good luck!

YOU’RE ALIVE! HAAAI!
Hiiiii!! Long time no chat! I hope all is well with you.
Congratulations on finishing nanowrimo in a week! that's insane! I really want to know how you were able to do that! Truly inspiring!
I dont think I'll ever be able to do this again, lol, and I'm not sure I'll want to! One of my friends finished by day 3 and I'm like.....how???? Thank you for your kind comment!
I had a lot of encouragement and support, and I was very inspired. I wrote bits and pieces in the middle of the night, when I ate, etc. I type pretty fast so when I sat down to type, it flowed out.
I had fun with this idea, and maybe that's the secret. You gotta love what you're working on. If you get burned out, switch to something else.
👀 gothic western??? I’d love to know more!
I really got into the Southern Gothic genre when I was in high school, and I’ve always wanted to write something in the genre, but to be perfectly honest, it terrifies me. I don’t know if I could do it or not, but I’d like to try. I’m just not sure how to start.
And a Gothic Western would be even cooler, but I’m not sure if it makes sense.
Thank you so much for the feedback! Will definitely work on my tags and check out others writers. Any suggestions? I'm open to pretty much any genre! xx
No problem! And should you ever need someone to bounce ideas around with, just let me know! I know it seems scary at first, but trust me. You’ll get the hang of it :)Some of my favourite writers in the community are (and i’ll keep it short, as I don’t want to overwhelm you): @abalonetea (check out Groundhog Day--it’s a fantasy that you’ll love if you like video game s and RPGs), @mvcreates (a very helpful writer within the community. Check out Devida & Goliath!), @reeseweston, @shadescrawls, @maxgraybooks!
you gotta turn on messages lol
for some reason, in “messaging” this blog doesn’t show up? my main blog and my other side blogs do, but not this blog. i have no idea why. I’ll keep trying, lol
🍿 Writeblr positivity game! What is something you love about your writing?
Thank you for sending this in!
Something that I really love about my writing is my character development. I put a lot of time and effort into creating characters, and I think that it always shows in the characters various personalities.
