FIRST LOOKS AT THE LOST BOYS MUSICAL JUST DROPPED
My thoughts under the cut!!
First of all: DAVID OH MY GODDD. I was really hoping they wouldn’t stray too far from the og aesthetics of the boys specifically, so I am VERY happy about this. He looks extremely cool, and slutty!!!! While being shirtless was Dwayne’s thing, I’m not mad at David adopting it. Also, with the boys being a band in this universe, this is pure frontman shit. Like I think this is a perfect “if David was the front man of a rock band” look. And the military ish patches on the trenchcoat like his og badge???? Absolutely! I am HYPE. The way he’s looking at Micheal is also homoerotically appreciated!
STAR. STAR AAAAABSOLUTELY. I might piss some people off with this but I think I might like this version of Star better than movie Star. I love the edge they’ve given her style and makeup, while still keeping her in that hippie kid aesthetic. After listening to Have to Have You and seeing this, I’m hoping that perhaps Star is more in on the vampire shit then she is in the movie? Also, the actress’ locs in this style look particularly gorgeous.
The accessories and detail in these two costumes are amazing, like I’m taking inspiration.
Micheal looks exactly like the movie! Which absolutely works! I love that he contrasts the boys and Star by being far more dressed down.
In closing, I am at unprecedented levels of hype for this show, so far it is looking and sounding really promising!
Besides Dwayne being a white dude but I’m trying not to think about that.
