(Pat dressed as Cossack Batman because he had a blanket cape and a scarf and a fluffy hat on, and was prancing around in the dark, and I have now joined him in my ladybird onesie and my own blanket cape)
So once again we reach the end of another year...
God, so much has happened this year, I don't even know where to start...
The year didn't exactly get off to a good start, what with my Granddad passing away back in March (and has it really been less than a year?), along with my Dad losing his job.
I wasn't really talking to many people back at the start of 2012. I'll admit that I was lonely, and I remember thinking that maybe nobody cares... But I got past that. I was mid-way through my second year of uni. I had a job, and it was actually pretty good. My baby sister turned 18, and got into uni, along with passing her driving test. She'd only laugh at me if I said anything to her, but I'm proud of her.
Probably the biggest change in relation to fandoms was in April, when the Avengers came out, and I fell hard for that brilliant team of superheroes.
The highlight of the year, the thing that stands out the most has to be my trip to America. When I first joined this website in January 2010, I never ever thought that I'd become so involved with everything. I also never thought that I'd meet my best friend online here, or that I'd fly halfway around the world to go hang out with her. Nana is honest-to-god the greatest person I have ever come across. She's extraordinary. Getting off that plane in Wisconsin and going down that escalator and hugging her for the first time... It felt like coming home, as silly as that sounds. Those two weeks were the most amazing of my life, because I got to hang out with the one person I never thought I could. Also, Wisconsin was super-hot, and it was nice to actually spend some time in the sun, since English summers tend to be about as dry as English winters (i.e. not at all).
After that, the year seemed to mellow out a bit. The field trip to Wales with the rest of the biology class was amazing. We got to tramp across gorgeous welsh coastland, we saw so many cool animals and plants, and we definitely got to know each other a lot better (Also, tramping to the pub in the pitch black is one adventure I am not likely to forget anytime soon xD)
I moved back into the flat for the return to uni, and I feel a lot closer to my boys (Declan, Pat, and Paul), and to Carmallama. I've also become friends with one of the new flatmates, Danielle, and she's lovely. I'm glad to have met her.
The start of uni brought with it mad panics about my Dissertation, as well as the usual assignment rushes and awesome lectures. I feel more confident about what I want to do in life, and what I want to do after uni.
Halloween was definitely a high point, having fun at K with Carms, Pat and Dec. Pat dressed as Catwoman will not be something I easily forget xD
Christmas brought with it the usual joy of spending time with the family (And no, for once I'm not actually being sarcastic!). I'll admit, it was strange to have a Christmas without any grandparents at all, but we still had a really good day together.
So yeah, that's pretty much a round-up of my year, although I feel like I should give special mentions to those amazing people who turned 2012 from an okay year into an amazing one <3

Of course, as an artist i was inspired by the idea of conveying emotion through pastry. I feel i really managed to capture the timid nature of the beast as it pokes its head out from the shadows. Look into its eyes and you can see it :/
My flatmate is a dork, but I do love him xD (This all stems from an argument this afternoon about what type of dessert he would be. I still think he's cheesecake, but he's convinced his inner self is full of chocolate and despair.)

it was all very nice after the zombies. except i woke up crying because i knew i didnt have kittens :(
