i'm going off my very rural small town sports knowledge for this butttt their games aren't always at the same time, which means that most of the time they can make it to each other's home games after practice!!

kiri trudging into the gym all sweaty and tired after football practice just to watch katsuki's games... and after Katsuki sees that flash of red hair in the bleachers he's pulling even more outrageous moves on the court (no correlation at alllll btw)

katsuki bundles up to go to kiri's games after practice and bitches the whole time but you know what... he never misses a single home game despite how much he hates the cold

i also feel like they would definitely have a rivalry going on... Kiri is much nicer about it than Bakugou and always tries his best to cheer him up after a rough game. but if bakugou's team goes to state and kiri's doesn't... good lord prepare for gloating

i fear growing up in a small town has made it reallyyy difficult for me to write relatable fics. like… sure most of what i write is aged up and adult scenarios, but i think most writers (probably especially fanfic writers) draw from their experiences. my idea of a fun night out is vastly different from that of someone who grew up in the city. i grew up going to bonfires and hanging out with upperclassmen and driving around on backroads, and i don’t think that’s very relatable for many people here
