One of my favorite aspects of Gede are the accompanying Gede songs. The rhythms and melodies are specific to the season and typically involve lots of cursing. We’ll be performing an entire Gede repertoire at our Fèt Gede on November 16th! The first song is about various spirits navigating beneath the rocks and the second is saying that before you take a man in you have to measure his tools and vice versa.
