The multipurpose court is one of the places where students come to take time off, rest, and play. Not only students spend time here. This soccer/baseball/volleyball/basketball court has been the setting for different activities like the Baxter Youth Rally/Retreat. Christian teens and young adults from numerous countries come and participate in spiritual growth activities and have fun. This court was inaugurated in 2003. What an Awesome Gift! Yesterday TORCH (IRC) blessed our students with bags of food. Dalton Hines coordinated the purchase and delivery of items to Baxter. This is not the first time TORCH has helped out at Baxter. 37 years ago it had its beginning at Baxter with Steve Davidson of Nashville. Through the years TORCH helped build the school’s soccer court, amphitheater, and other projects. One of its board members, Tim Hines, shared with me how caring Christians were making donations to the hunger of Honduras and wanted to send food for our students. Torch Brigade at Baxter. Dentists from Tupelo, MS, worked three days at our dental clinic. "Great," "Wonderful" were the adjectives used to describe our staff and dentist. They graciously donated vital supplies to the clinic. They were surprised when I shared that we need funds so we can filter the city water used in dental work. Unfiltered it is deemed unsafe to drink. #baxterclinic #baxterdentalclinic #baxtertorch (at Baxter Institute)
