The Queen’s Favor by Anamatics: I read this one all through in a day it’s over 100k, complete, An alternate season 1 curse breaking story in which Emma believes in the curse early on, and becomes the Queen’s knight. It’s captivating, rich and extremely creative. The only critique is it’s rated T, so the sexy times are not emphasized. Bonus: this author has a published book and she suggested the idea and helped write Carmilla.
The Payoff by Seriousfic: Set in the season 4 finale author AU land, Emma and Henry are trying to get Regina to go to Robin Hood. Emma offers kisses, strip teases and more to very willing bandit Regina. This story is designated as complete, but I’d so like to read more, more, more. Per usual, with this author, the story and funny, touching and sexy.
Pure of Heart by bayloriffic: This story is incomplete, last updated oct 14, maybe we can petition the author to continue? Emma is a prostitute, and Regina hire her while she’s in Boston for the week to be her driver and to sex her up. It’s Pretty Woman and it’s extremely satisfying to read. the 5 chapters that exist so far.
Just Another Brick In the Wall by darkersky: This author has a unique writing style, it’s very understated, but conveys a punch of emotion all the same. Like that wedding song, “you say it best when you say nothing at all.” Emma is the new gym teacher, Regina is the vice president of the school and they have crushes on each other, but are too stubborn to stop being lonely. This is incomplete and last updated in january. I hope it’s continued.
Cops & Robbers by Deemn: I’m pretty sure this story broke the little Hits counter on A03 because it doesn’t display how many peeps have read this. Everyone hopefully is, and if not should. It took me a chapter or two to get into the story, but once I understood where it was going it’s one of the best I’ve ever read. Emma and Regina get fake married for Henry’s sake and legal purposes. It’s got a realness and humor about it that elevates it. Again, it hasn’t been updated since Feb, but I’m very patient for something this awesome.
Memory Cloud by Wily_one24: I find this story so fascinating. It plays with time and reality in an amazing way. The premise is 17 year old Emma comes to live with Regina when she adopts Henry because he has a stomach condition in which he has to ingest his bio mother’s milk. The three build a family, but when Emma starts to get suspicious about the curse, Regina has to wipe her memory and replace it with the backstory we know from canon. Then Emma hits her head and starts to remember her old life raising Henry and being with Regina. Again, it hasn’t had an update since January, but nearly 60,000 words under the belt, and they are all fabulous.
