I just realised the first time Jugram has actually shown any sort of emotion since being friends with Bazz is after Bazz’s death (him yelling “BAZZARD BLACK” only partially counts because it’s in context TO Bazz himself, and it’s nothing like what we see after his death)
It’s the first time we ever see him come emotionally undone at all. And he puts a large emphasis on killing traitors… probably because of Bazz’s death. He’s probably projecting?? in some way to sort of cope with the fact he’s just killed Bazz.
In the anime, more focus is put into showing Jugram’s reaction to Bazz’s death. He’s not okay. I don’t remember if we even see his reaction in the manga, or if it’s given very much focus. But, in the anime, his eyes are hidden, he’s looking down, and he’s effectively emotionless… and not his normal passive emotionless mask he puts on, but, rather, the lingering shot combined with his head being down as his eyes are covered by his hair clearly shows it’s the grief-type of emotionless.
That, coupled with the fact that the fight with Uryu is the first time we actually see Jugram emote properly (specifically the fact he’s getting so emotionally worked up) really shows how much Bazz’s death is actually affecting him.
