Answering some of your 'I don't understand Part 1' questions. But asks only offer really limited space to work with. Molly doesn't say he is clean. It's sounds more like 'clean? I can't believe you can even assume he is clean. Of course he is NOT clean. Who gave you that ridiculous idea ect.' You get the general idea. That's why she slaps him and why Sherlock uses it as an *excuse* when he is threatening Mycroft.
Part 2: BTW the reason he was high is to fool Magnussen. He wants him to believe he’s an addict (hello pressure point) in order to protect John. Mycroft and Sherlock are having a brotherly argument and as Sherlock is still somewhat high his reaction is a bit odd. Mycroft worries about Sherlock and Sherlock doesn’t want Mycroft to find out about Janine because he couldn’t fool him. That’s why he wants him to leave as soon as possible, and to achieve that he does what he thinks is necessary.
Part 3: John is Sherlock’s friend. So, he doesn’t feel great about phoning Mycroft, it has a touch of betraying Sherlock, and yet he thinks he has to. So, taking Sherlock’s side during the fight is his way of saying sorry and restoring balance to their relationship. @ Magnussen trying to get John and Sherlock arrested for selling state secrets: Sherlock gives Magnussen Mycroft’s laptop. That’s why. Mycorft’s laptop comes with state secrets. And the moment they give it to Magnussen, they become traitors.
Part 4: The last one.. I promise because I do not want to spam your ask box. They won’t swing the baby on this show. I agree, it would make things too complicated. My money is on Mary dying before she gives birth. There is always season 4 and 5 to rob John from his happy ending.
Answer: Hi anon! I’m sorry for taking so long to reply to this. I’ve been spending less time on Tumblr and am taking a bit longer to get back to folks in general, especially with the influx of replies, comments and discussion that’s come with the third series.
This all makes rather a lot of sense. I’ll also admit that pretty much as soon as I published the questions I realized that the state secrets thing was pretty straightforward…although I am still a bit skeptical that Magnussen could have made the charge stick in the face of Mycroft’s influence.
I also want to clarify about the baby: I would fucking love to see a baby on this show. It’s just it would then be a somewhat different kind of show, and I don’t think Mofftison are really ready for John chasing Sherlock through alleys with a papoose. So I hope you’re wrong, but kind of agree that some horrible calamity is the most likely end for Baby Watson.
