Lowkeygenuinely cant wait for Lane's NSFW scene in future shifts, but the slow burn and the flirting stage is sooo goood!!!!😭💓

this scene is actually in a hidden click and you only get it if you picked the right choice that leads to the route where it can happen. xD

i already know almost everyone is gonna miss those hidden clicks so ill probably spoil this one for Lane and also one for BB in the guide. the rest will be up to you guys to find! :3

and aaaa i cant wait for the dating stage + future NSFW scenes either!!! the slow burn/flirting phase is one of my favorite things to write tho bc its sooo cute and its what make people attached to the characters. :3 (ALSO LANEY AND BB ARE SOOOO DIFFERENT I LOVE THEIR DYNAMIC WITH MC)

in Shift 3 you can already kinda choose what type of route you want for Shift 4. like whether you want things to progress faster romantically or keep the slow burn going a bit longer! :3

thats also why there are no endings because it kinda prepares what will happen for you in Shift 4. x)

I only started the game for BB; even on the site, he seemed like a yandere or an obsessive lover. Honestly, I had hope and I really liked the game, but a character finding another woman attractive definitely takes it out of the realm of romantic interest. Unfortunately, all my enthusiasm has faded, and I don't think I'll continue playing the game.

HII SWEETIE💕💕 i completely understand where youre coming from and im still grateful you gave the game a chance because of BB. :3

but i think theres something important to clarify about how i approach his character (and the BBD characters in general)

BB is written with depth and realism in mind. he exists in a fictional grounded world and in that world, other people can be attractive. that doesnt weaken his emotional fixation, i think it makes it more believable honestly. so if he never noticed anyone else ever he would start to feel less like a person and more like a caricature.

if i started adjusting characters every time someone felt that "he shouldnt do this, he shouldnt do that" i would end up flattening them. i think removing normal human perception doesnt make a character more romantic, it just makes them less real. and realism is very important to me.

i understand that some players prefer a very specific kind of fantasy where the love interest never acknowledges anyone else at all. thats completely valid!! but the story im telling leans into psychological depth and grounded behavior.

Hi Laly! A bit of advice/feedback from a fan - please be careful about using the word ‘r*tarded’. A lot of people consider it as the R slur nowadays…

HI POOKIE💖💖💖💖 i totally understand the concern!! 🥺💕

but some characters (ESPECIALLY LANE) are written to reflect how people actually talked back then (2009) which includes a lot of dumb/offensive stuff unfortunately.

Lane is also written as a pretty flawed guy at the start of the story and part of his character is that he has dumb opinions and says things he shouldnt. i honestly CANT imagine writing him differently at this stage without it feeling out of character.

the idea is also to leave room for character development depending on the players choices so he can grow and change over time! but i appreciate the feedback and i get why it can bother some people, thank you! 🥺💖

i already added content warnings for this kind of language/behavior so players know what to expect and can decide if its something theyre comfortable with before playing! 💕💕
