bloodsiings:
SHE DIDN’T EXACTLY HAVE plans for the night except her ice cream and some soap operas – a rare night off from 18-hour shifts and blood and gore. she’d settled into the couch in slippers and just a t-shirt when the name ‘ bitey sucky mcclubby fuck ’ flashed on her phone, and she sighed, fumbling for the remote and the phone at once. he barely greeted her before launching into a spiel, but it didn’t matter ; she was up and putting a lid on her ice cream, spoon still in the carton, the minute she picked up.
“JUST GOTTA PUT PANTS on, honestly.” she said, absently, stuffing the ice cream back into the fridge and sliding into her room on the slippery hardwood. she’s seen enough as a paramedic, seen people bled half-dry and unable to move, left behind buildings, seen people bitten all up and down their arms and torn up skin half-healed after years of being a ‘ donor ’ – she pinched the phone between ear and shoulder, pulling on a pair of jeans by jumping up and down and wrenching them up her thighs.
“HOW SERIOUS IS IT ? soonest is – maybe ten minutes ? keep pressure on any wounds, don’t let them fall asleep,” the same instructions she gives EVERY time this happens – routine, by now, but she can’t stop herself from worrying.
EYES GLANCED DOWNWARDS towards the human, the flush pink color that usually emits from human skin gone without a trace. as soon as the incident occurred, nicolai already had one of his workers run through the usual drill --- one he had heard from the woman over a million times. he was more than aware of the earful he would get if those directions were not followed to a t after all. “not good. but if you can get here in ten, he’ll be fine. probably. now if you’ll excuse me, i have quite a lecture to give before your arrival.” without waiting for a response, the man hung up, glaring eyes stabbing into the vampire trembling in fear. “now, NOW. what shall we do with you?” with a whip of his head, a woman and a man took the vampire by his arms and led him past metal double doors. doors that insulated the most loudest of screams.
ten minutes had passed and the brunet opened the doors of the club to let the human in. “he’s over there. he’s awake still but i’m not sure for how much longer. i’ve already dealt with my side -- it’s all on you now.”
