One of my votes for Album of the year, BBNG’s IV had a good variety of instrumental jazz, soul and hip hop. This is one of my personal favorite tracks from the album. Check it out!

Time moves slow when you can’t have a thing time moves slow..When you're lost in the dream time moves slow...When you wait by the phone and the time moves slow when you're all alone

“Running away is easy, it’s the leaving that’s hard”
Jazz and hip hop have always had a deep connection since the birth of sampling, with hip hop icons twisting and weaving jazz riffs into their head-nodding creations. BadBadNotGood did things a little differently and flipped the script upside down.
A young jazz quartet from Canada, BBNG started out covering hip hop tracks from artists that they loved - such as Tyler, The Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, Danny Brown and many more. Their love for the genre shone through and their unique take on rap’s brightest stars took BBNG into a league of their own.
They’re back with a brand new album ‘IV’, coming out on the 8th of July via Innovative Leisure, and if they take off from where ‘III’ left off, we’re in for something special. After BBNG took the reins for a reinterpretation of Future Islands’ stand out track ‘Seasons (Waiting On You)’, the charismatic lead-singer Sam Herring has returned the favour by providing vocals on their irresistible single ‘Time Moves Slow’. Herring’s soulful, raspy voice provides the perfect focal point for BBNG’s laid-back, vintage groove.
The story and lyrics behind this track have really hit home for me and my current situation. Maybe this is why I love it so much? Or it could be that it is just an amazing song? I think it’s probably a bit of both.
‘Time Moves Slow’ is available via Innovative Leisure now.
yeaaaa new BBNG coming soon. Give the drummer some, for reals.
