If you care more about bullshit optics, sanctimonious Care Bears platitudes, and representation of hypothetical minority groups than the very physical and tangible people around you, you're not progressive, or humanitarian, or a good person. If you can't practice being sympathetic around real people when the call comes, you're a fucking hypocrite. There is a very annoying group of people like this in the BBU fandom, and that group is like a cancerous tumor on what is otherwise a fandom filled with kind and decent people. They are the reason this fandom is dying. They are the people scaring others away. The gatekeepers need to be removed. Only then can the BBU fandom grow and flourish.
