"Ye Olde Manning Park Gallows" used to stand along BC HWY 3 against the charred forest backdrop from a fire that ripped through the area in 1947 caused by a cigarette butt. Definitely a dramatic sign, but a part of their history and a timely reminder to ensure that you please adhere to the smoking ban in effect in the park!
