Hiya anon! I’m so sorry for the long wait for this fic I hope you’re still here 🥺😭, anyway I had so much fun writing this and I hope you enjoyed it as well. I apologize if it isn’t exactly what you wanted or if it isn’t very good 🥺!

Grey watched as Gauche, who sat on the other end of the couch, flipped to another page in his book. They had both decided to stay inside where it was warm instead of venture outside with the others. Winter had settled upon the Clover Kingdom and all the Black Bulls had decided to go out and enjoy it a little, especially since the younger ones were hoping for at least a bit of snow.

Grey pulled the sleeves of the sweater she was wearing over her hands before wrapping them around herself. Since it was getting colder Gauche had let her borrow more of his sweaters and shirts, which had surprised her initially but she didn’t complain or say anything as she was scared he would take them back if she did.

Grey watched as Gauche’s eyes scanned the pages intently, whatever book he was reading really seemed to have his attention. A small part of her wished he would look at her that way, her eyes widened at the thought and she quickly shook her head to get rid of it, just the mental image of him staring at her the way he was at the books pages made her blush in embarrassment!

Gauche glanced over as the sudden movement of Grey’s head caught his eye. He saw how red her face was and frowned, she must have gotten an embarrassing thought again. His eyes looked her up and down for a moment, maybe she was embarrassed to be wearing his sweater? He certainly hoped not as she looked very cute in it.

“ You alright?” He asked curiously as he continued to look over at her out of the corner of his eye. Grey jumped a bit before nodding.

“ Y-Yeah I’m fine!” Grey stammered quickly as she looked away from Gauche. He continued to stare at her disbelievingly but he didn’t comment on it. He knew she was lying, and she knew that Gauche knew she was lying, but they both decided to feign ignorance so she wouldn’t get even more embarrassed. Grey suddenly shivered as she got a cold chill down her spine, she had forgotten how drafty the Hideout got during winter.

“ Are you cold?” Gauche asked as he finally turned his head fully to look at her. Grey nodded again but he could see that she was, in fact, cold. They had all the fireplaces burning in the Hideout to try and keep all the drafts and chills away, but still a few could manage to sneak through. Gauche frowned in thought as he tried to think of an idea to keep her warm.

“ Hey Grey, come here for a sec.” Grey frowned but scooted a bit closer to Gauche. She let out a little yelp as he suddenly wrapped an arm around her and pulled her to him.

“ G-Gauche!” Grey’s face suddenly turned bright red as she noticed how close they were, she could feel the warmth radiating off his body and she swore she could even hear his heartbeat if she listened closely. She placed her hands on his side and tried to push herself away but Gauche only pulled her closer and tightened his grip a bit.

“ It’s ok, just stay like this for a bit and it’ll help keep you warm.” Gauche mumbled, Grey looked up and let out a soft gasp. His face was just as bright of a red as hers and he wasn’t looking at her or his book, instead, he was focusing on a spot on the far opposite side of the room.

Grey felt a bit relieved to know that it wasn’t just her feeling embarrassed, almost every fiber of her being was screaming at her to pull away and go somewhere else as this was just too embarrassing. But a small piece of her felt comfort in Gauche’s warm embrace and was more than happy to stay cuddled into his side like this for a little while longer.

Gauche finally glanced down at Grey and noticed she had relaxed and was now snuggling into his side a bit with her eyes closed. He looked back at the book he was reading but found he couldn’t focus on the page as Grey being next to him was distracting. The logical side of his brain was steadily telling him that he only got this idea because it was something he had learned living on the streets with Marie. But the other side of his brain, or his heart he wasn’t quite sure which, kept telling him that the sole reason he did this was because he wanted to be closer to her and hold her in his arms.

Gauche let out a soft sigh before shaking his head. He softly closed his book and set it aside before moving himself and Grey’s now sleeping form a little further down the couch so they could cuddle properly. He just hoped none of the other Black Bulls would return soon, otherwise he’d never hear the end of their teasing.

Grey can, should, must and will fix Gauche

Can I ask your top 3 (or more if you wanna) Black Clover ships?

Okay, so I have talked about ships that I like before in this post: https://loosesodamarble.tumblr.com/post/629359863926046720/who-are-your-favorite-top-ten-black-clover.

But to keep things fresh, I’ll mention three more ships that I like.

Nebra x Zora: Okay, I blame @thespiralgrimoire and @cringeyvanillamilk for getting me into this ship. How dare they make these characters so darn shippable! They sass each other and flirt! They have this love-hate (mostly love) dynamic. They’re from two completely different social worlds. I’m not sure they have any canon interactions. And yet I can’t help but want to see them together...

Grey x Gauche: Okay, the Great Anti-social Trio (Grey, Gordon, and Gauche) is a good, wholesome friendship. But the Grey x Gauche ship is sweet. Gauche saved her (on Marie’s request but still)! Grey eventually returns the favor and that hit my heart hard. Plus, they just look good together! He’s rough and she’s soft. But also imagine how funny it would be for Gauche, in love with Grey, to shove pictures of her in others’ faces “Look at this angel. But you can’t have her. She’s my gf” and she’s embarrassed as heck because 1) “how’d he get that picture?” and 2) “people are (indirectly) looking at me!”

Luck x Magna: I’m not as into this ship as the other two, but there’s a reason why I have an incorrect quote dedicated to those two. Luck and Magna would be great battle couple. Fire and lightning are closely connected elements. Magna comforts Luck after getting unpossessed. They’re both energetic (in different ways) and just bounce off each other well.

So there are my thoughts on some other ships. Hope you’re entertained by what I have to say.
