okay but caroline’s love languages are ( 1 ) physical touch , and ( 2 ) acts of service
boy, this is gonna be hard to explain
can we talk about one of my favourite aspects of my tess characterization is that she spends so much of her time claiming/acting as if though she is nothing like her father... yet she is. she has his aggression, his temper and his pride. she’s not the kind of person to take it lying down, and when she realises that these are parts of her that are quintessentially his... she’s mortified.
there have probably been a couple of times where people have said to her “okay genn” and it just completely throws her through a loop because she sits there like, ‘I’m not my father. I’m not my fucking father --- how dare you relate me to him.’
sb: boys !!!! kat: *slowly turns up hayley kiyoko*
my aesthetic: mina being all smol and angry and trying to fight someone ( with reason ) and her s/o trying to stop her and calm her down
she is the type to forgive the murderer of a family member bc god said so… I want to put a microphone in her face and ask her to explain her moral system in painful detail so I can figure out where it all went wrong but the thing is I already know she has no thoughts that weren’t planted there by the bible (or someone’s dipshit interpretation of it) or her cult leader I mean husband so of course she has no moral center but it’s just shocking to me that there doesn’t even appear to be any cognitive dissonance at all… you literally think you are a good, normal person. you are neither !!!
Headcanons. / more John Murphy
Also as long as I’m talking about it (and too unfocused to actually write anything): John Murphy is the one person she’d fight Bellamy on in the later half of the series. (like post mt rescue after she recovers a lil of herself)
She loves Bellamy and definitely worships Bellamy in the first chunk of the series but at some point she reaches the breaking point and she’s had enough so if anyone wants Murphy they’ll have to go through her.
Not so much because she’s brave. But because it’s necessary in her mind. And because she knows most of them don’t have the heart to actually hurt her. So she uses that.
