This was Michael. He had just turned 53 and we were in Cuba to celebrate his birthday. He only had one more after that. He had cancer, it was a bad cough and he was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer. He had chemo, radiation, and surgery for removal of a tumour that gave us another year with him. He was the boy that this girl had waited for her entire life. He would have turned 63 this Sunday. Instead I will gather with his family to remember and celebrate his life. @bccanceragency did all they could to save him. Research saves lives and keeps families together.
