Send ’ 🎉 ’ to kiss my muse at midnight on New Years Eve.
New Years Eve was, most likely, a good night for her. Lots of parties, lots of people distracted, lots of nice goodies left unattended. It was pretty much by chance that he caught sight of her on the rooftop, getting the skylight of some expensive and fancy gallery open. He dropped down behind her, his other pulling away from his face and head as he reached out to grab her gently by the arm.
“Really? Can’t enjoy the new year like everyone else?”
He generally wasn’t too concerned about art theft, but he’d come to learn that where Cat went, there was usually some sort of fuss to follow. Probably robbing one of Kingpin’s places again. He didn’t know off the top of his head who owned the gallery.
The sound of fireworks stole his attention for a second, his eyes darting away from her to make sure they were just fireworks and not something more problematic. When he turned back, he was met by soft lips pressing against his own.
And then she was gone, taking advantage of his distraction to slip out of his grip and off the roof, leaving Eddie just standing there, with the mixed feeling of amusement and just a touch of jealousy from his other.
