“Must you be so reckless?” The lion hissed, prowling around Shenzi. Word had reached Scar about his brother having to chase out hyenas who were caught trespassing in the Pride Lands. As much as he would enjoy watching Mufasa squirm, this wasn’t the way to handle the matter.

“If you allow your hyenas to keep causing issue in the Pride Lands, you will do nothing but draw more attention to your existence, and thus increase the watch on the borders between here and there.” Common sense, really. Then again, Scar gathered the education of royal matters might not be the same among hyenas as it is with lions. “I know your cause, I understand your suffering, but you need to be patient, Shenzi. The time to strike will come, but you lose the element of surprise if they know you are lurking and waiting.”

honestly i just tell people who are “intimidated” by me to unfollow. I’m just like, lol, why u even here bro???

Well I think a lot of people on here (again including me) have social anxiety and they might feel more comfortable talking to people on the internet but still get nervous. So I don’t want to punish anyone for that, but like if someone is scared to talk to me I’d rather they kept it to themselves instead of messaging me and being like “omg I hope I’m not bothering you I’m scared to even ask you this but” followed by a completely harmless question

The two males were returning from their hunt, a little early, but one of them was busy flapping his mouth around, and for once it wasn’t Ed with all the tongue lulling action. But Azizi was giggling along as Kamari was shaking his head about and once they were close enough, it became apparent what was going on.

“I was chasin’ a hyrax and it ran in a hole but when I went for it I bit a porcupine!” At least that’s what he said but it came out rather muddled as he was talking around a mouthful of quills. Ears press flat against his neck, giving a whimper.

Ed erupts in laughter that he had clearly been somewhat trying to stifle. He had been doing so along the way but hearing Kamari have to explain what happened to Shenzi just made Azizi laugh more and more.

Did Simba find it? Nope, but he wasn’t about to risk his neck right now to go search for the Baobab Ball and have another encounter with some dumb hyena over it. He’d waited weeks too. Every single day after his lessons, the cub would head over to where they would grow watching a particular one that looked larger than the rest. When the time was right, it fell and the game could begin. However, Simba had only been practicing by himself when the ball rolled into the graveyard.

“There’s gotta be another way in there so I can get it later…” he mused, padding around the ridge while watching Shenzi closely. “If you even try anything my Dad’s gonna hear about it. All I’m looking for is…”

Wait.

These hyenas were dumb, but not that dumb. Better use a different item as a distraction. “Is a lizard that crawled around in here. If you see it, can you let me know that I wanna finish our game?”
