T A S K D O W N B E L O W! (001)
Does your character prefer the Moon, the Sun, or the Stars? Why?
Whitney finds beauty in each of the listed beauties but especially loves the stars. Even now as a grown woman and old mother, she will lay out under the night sky and stare up at the stars. It helps ground herself and ease her worries about the future. Her life is precious but is small in comparison to the worlds around Wonderland.

I've been hearing symphonies Before all I heard was silence A rhapsody for you and me And every melody is timeless Life was stringing me along Then you came and you cut me loose Was solo singing on my own Now I can't find the key without you And now your song is on repeat And I'm dancin' on to your heartbeat And when you're gone, I feel incomplete So if you want the truth I just wanna be part of your symphony Will you hold me tight and not let go? Symphony Like a love song on the radio Will you hold me tight and not let go?
Whitney refuses to give up her and Wallace’s love, even if may mentally destroy her to be ignored or to continue to grow distant from him. She misses how they use to be but refuses to see how she could ever be in the wrong. It’s on his shoulders to make things better.
If they lived in our world, what would be your character’s favorite movie of all time? And why?
It would be difficult for Whitney to pin point exactly one movie that was her all time favorite. She is a firm believer of finding good things in multiple, random, collections. Her favorite genre would be romantic comedies with a strong leaning towards 13 Going on 30. She adores unconventional love stories and going against any and all stereotypes. Watching this movie would remind her of how much she use to depend on Wallace and how his presences would comfort her through any anxieties or worries before the kits were born. Wallace still has her full heart, and she hopes they reach a level where they can open up to each other.
Look up the meaning of your character’s first name and tell me how you think that relates to them.
The name Whitney means white island. Islands tend to be secluded and give wanderers a heightened curiosity. Whitney White is protective of her family yet appears nice to the public and to strangers. However she has her skills that make her life sustainable and allow her loved ones to thrive. She sees herself as home to her children, now and forever. She will continue to clothe them, feed them, and offer shelter until her dying day. With many resources and bright energy, I think Whitney is very much an island of safety for her children and husband.
If they somehow stumbled into our world, what piece of technology or culture would most freak out your character? And what would they find the most interesting?
Whitney would be confused by the nature of fast dating that is associated with dating apps: Tinder, OkCupid, etc. Especially if she were to learn that the concept most people take in participating in the apps is a fast hookup. She doesn’t have anything against people having multiple lovers. It seems messy and cold to do most of the conversation and potential ‘relationship’ building part to their could-be future to talking online and through a phone screen. There is an art to meeting and fighting for love and these apps, in her mind, would destroy that nature.
Cell phones and the heavy dependence on instant messaging would probably be the most exciting revelation in Whitney’s mind. To instantly know how her children were doing, where they were, and if they needed money or support from their mother would be a blessing and a curse -- sadly. Mostly, it would allow Whitney to breathe easier in knowing that her kits were okay and let her fear of them hiding dangerous acts from diminish. (Let’s hope she never finds out about the apps that allow a parent to quietly track their children’s movements and texting history.)
