My art for @deanpollo's incredible story Intertwined, for the @bottomdeanbigbang!
As a junkie for apocalypse fiction, I absolutely devoured The Last of Us. So when I saw an SPN/TLOU fusion up for claims this round, I was desperate to get my hands on it. And boy did I get lucky getting the chance to work on such an amazing story! It's so wonderfully tense and will take you on such an emotional journey, I hope you read it and enjoy it as much as I did. @deanpollo was a great partner to work with and I really enjoyed our collaboration.
I spent several weeks working on title art, and it's one of my favorite paintings I've finished all year. I wanted to create something that merged the imagery of a burnt-out/dead angel vessel with a cordyceps fungal wall growth/victim. The painting is 20"x16" with a lot of detail work including metallic/interference watercolors. Here are some close-up images—it's also available in my Redbubble shop now on prints and other merch.
