Hmmm… nah, I don’t think I dislike stuff from his canon tbh. Of course, he’s from a game intended for children, and I play a much darker side of him, so there are divergent things, but… I mean, even in canon, he did threaten to bury the protag LOL. The way they depict him as a stoic, narcissistic bastard is nice, and the fact that he sometimes loses it shows he has a strong passion somewhere deep inside. The only pet peeve I have that I sometimes ironically use in RP is that ‘Great Maxie’ thing, because it just doesn’t roll off the tongue fluidly. I instead use other ways to show he’s an egomaniac BD

As for the different interpretations, I have nothing against them. I mean, to each their own. There might be things I won’t agree on, but as long as it is not being shoved down my throat as a universal truth and as long as people respect me and my own vision of who Maxie is, I don’t see where the problem would be.
