Personally I hate the term "humble" and how it is used and weaponized to a degree these days...especially against Black Youth...almost a "stay in your place" vibe while others get to be audacious and fully confident in themselves...I often will ask people "do someone have to be on their knees for YOU to feel tall?" If not there is absolutely no need to demand someone else's humility....I choose to applaud audacity and confidence...want my kids to find their things and love themselves...not conform to make others comfortable in ways that will never be reciprocal
Life has its ebbs and flows. Some days will be easy and then there are other days that will be difficult. But we should always endeavour to hold on to our faith that things will get better.....because it will. I know it is hard sometimes. Some days it is so hard to hold on to faith, but then something happens, someone calls you or something happens and through them the universe says to you hold on...don't give up. And you listen....

Now that’s a case filled with lethal weapons for the femme fatale!
NARS is celebrating Audacity in Singapore this October with a series of makeover sessions at TANGS from 16-22nd this month, and running an Instagram contest where you can win your own little box of Audacity.
1-on-1 Makeover Sessions
If you need help finding your inner femme fatale, NARS will help you. From 16-22 Oct, you can book a makeover and consultation session with Lead Stylist Priscilla Yu from Hong Kong, or Lead Artist Julyen Loo from Singapore. Sign-up is SGD$60 (fully redeemable for products) and you will receive a 2-pc gift including a mini Orgasm blush on top of that.
Early-birds receive an additional mini gloss.
16 - 18 Oct: Priscilla Yu
19 - 22 Oct: Julyen Loo
To book a slot before all the good timings are gone, visit the TANGS estore at http://bit.ly/1Qz6kaL or stop by the TANGS boutique.
#BeAudaciousSg Instagram contest
From 15-17 Oct, share a post of yourself on Instagram featuring an Audacious product (eye or lip) and hashtag #BeAudaciousSg to qualify. One winner will be picked by the NARS Singapore team to receive a box filled with:
3 Audacious lipsticks
Audacious mascara
Kohliner
You can camp the NARS FB page for more info!
I’d ask you to do it just for a shot at the lipsticks alone. You know I’ve loved that formula since it launched around this time last year.
The team didn’t explicitly say if the photo had to be taken between 15-17th, but please - just post a new pic. Don’t hashtag a 3-month old photo of yourself and wonder why you were not picked. It’s only fair to invest a little effort if you sincerely want to win!
