TSG Savannah at the Southern Women’s Show!
TSG Savannah will be exhibiting at the Southern Women’s show!
We will be handing out complimentary copies of The Scout Guide Savannah and The Scout Guide Hilton Head Island, Beaufort & Bluffton. I will also be showcasing member goods with painted pieces from Lily Bay Studio + Bazaar & materials printed by DX Marketing + more! TSG Savannah will hosting various events throughout the show including times on the Cooking, Spotlight as well as the Fashion and Entertainment stage. I have the honor of working with two members on the Cooking stage : Gustavo Arias will be presenting on Friday with some quick and easy entertaining bites. Saturday afternoon, Chef Nick Muller from SERG group on Hilton Head Island will include us while he is prepping his take on a classic Coastal recipe. Saturday morning the Spotlight stage will be home to a Annie Sloan Chalk Painting demo with Lily Bay Studio + Bazaar owner, Kristin. Friday afternoon we will be doing a Wake Up and Stretch session that will feature the combined efforts from Pure Barre and Dancing Dogs Yoga. Sunday I am so excited to be sharing the talents of Stephanie Tallevast as she works with show go-ers to create an inspirational mood board for their next home project. The Fashion stage will be home to Staying Fashionable Locally on Saturday afternoon with clothing from the best local boutiques in Savannah & the Lowcountry: including pieces from Mamie Ruth, M. Liz Designs, Livvy Boutique, Satchel, NOLAjane, Lettee’s + more! Sunday's fashion show will take a little more of an avant garde bent and will feature amazing hair and makeup looks from Salon 13 that were inspired by some great made local products! Products and spaces that provide inspiration are La Bastille, Galerie 124 artist Anna Fox Ryan, Red Gate Farm Barn, chalk paint from Lily Bay, a dish from Pacci, the cover of TSG Savannah, volume 2, a hand painted cookie from De Colores Cookies y Mas, a Vanilla macaron from Marche de Macarons, Lavender glycerin soap from Nourish & a beautiful piece of natural stone from MultiStone.

As you guys know, Marc and I recently got engaged. We are getting married in October and wedding planning is definitely something else.
One thing that is important to us is really connecting with the vendors that we ultimately hire. One of our criteria when choosing a vendor is their passion for the work that they do. It’s truly wonderful to meet people who love the work that they do. Their energy and enthusiasm is contagious and that’s exactly what we need for our special day.
But as any bride-to-be will tell you, there’s so much to do and so little time. In our “Shift Local: Wedding Edition” posts, we will share with you guys vendors that we meet with that we truly connect with in case any of our readers are getting married soon and are still looking for vendors. We also love recommendations so if you know anyone that seem like a good fit for us, let us know!

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I started off playing around with flowers in September 2012 when my brother asked me to do the floral arrangements for his wedding. Since then, I’ve grown a true passion for flowers. From baby showers to weddings to proms to Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day to everything else in between: there’s always a reason/season for flowers. I like to compare flowers to life. They (it) don’t last forever, so you have to cherish them (it) while you can.
WHAT DOES LOCAL MEAN TO YOU
My definition of local is close to home and in turn, home is where the heart is.
WHY HAYWARD?
I was born, raised and still living in Hayward. I love giving back to my community as it gave so much to me in the past 25 years of life. Again, home is where the heart is and I’ll never forget my roots.
