Last week i took delivery of a new (to me) 90mm lens for my Leica M240 and you know how it is, I just had to shoot something with it! Unfortunately the weather has been atrocious for sometime with high winds and heavy rain so I braced myself, opened my front door, stepped onto the porch and shot what I could see. The neighbours car wasn’t that appealing, and to be honest nor was the house across the street but I had few alternatives: the neighbours house it was then! I posted the image on social media under the title “Suburbia” and it has proved incredibly popular, receiving around 2,000 views a day.

They reckon for every photographer that travels 1,000 kilometres in one direction, another flies 1,000 in the oppositer. Moral of the story: don't ignore what is right on your doorstep!

A lot of important state and local elections today. Especially the Governor races in NJ and VA. Get your friends in a car or take a walk together to your polling station and vote. 

This is  our chance to begin to change the tide. Don’t be silent. Vote.
