28/11/2025 - The Sea That Separates Us
I'm so tired of circumstance crossing nights of play edge of wake and edge of sleep constantly curtained by the following nocturne The Sea That Separates Us Vast and Overwhelming Lovers, just wishing for the time the chance the right to bask in each other We strain against the relentless sea It hurts us and we recoil We need to wait again A constant barrage of happenstance Life consuming every day Nights without you, I sit and weep I struggle to avoid the crash and burn The Sea That Separates Us Its borders I've been delving I refuse to listen to its rhyme Its dance Its voice it uses to smother The world in which we become free With endless active toil we may just see this end The Sea won't last forever Its size and age definite This "hopeless" endeavour will help us see the end of it I see on the horizon a future, brighter day until the future our hope lies in, I'm happy we are gay.
