tbh all the love and respect to wedding dress sales people. not just cause you have to deal with all the drama and the people and the outrageous requests. all that is impressive, but you know what's more impressive? not throttling someone over slightly different shades of white.
as someone who worked in a retail store for five years my least favorite time of year was when we got white jeans and shirts because people would come in and be like hey so I want these jeans and I would say ok sure here are those jeans. and then they would say yeah but I wanted them in white. and I say well these are the white that the jeans come in. and then they'd be like well no Actually ☝️that's off white ivory cream ecru. and I say oh right sorry obviously how could I be so stupid. and then they'd say yeah but I want them in White. and I would say, Those Are The White That Those Jeans Come In. and they would say Are You Sure and then I would have to take out the website and in fact show them that they are The Only color white that those jeans come in. and they'd be like well when are you getting them in White. and im like Were Not if you want Slightly More White Jeans I can show you these ones in a different cut. and they'd be like but I hate those jeans. and they're too white. and then they would leave and I would be left with lingering thoughts of murder and also respect for anyone and everyone in the wedding dress industry.
shoutout to all wedding dress sales associates everywhere. you are stronger than any us marine for your knowledge and patience over the color white alone. I could never be you.
