✨Hermitage Pavilion✨ The Tsarskoye Selo Palace and Park Ensemble is a brilliant monument of world architecture and landscape gardening art of the 18th to early 20th century. A whole constellation of prominent architects, sculptors and painters embodied the designs of crowned clients here. The best examples of Baroque and Classicist architecture are concentrated in Tsarskoye Selo, where the first Art Nouveau interiors of the Russian capital were created. The compositional centre of the ensemble is the Grand Tsarskoye Selo (Catherine) Palace - a magnificent example of Russian Baroque. More than a hundred monuments are scattered on the territory of the Catherine and Alexander Parks with a total area of 300 hectares: majestic palaces and intimate pavilions, bridges and marble monuments, as well as exotic structures in the style of Gothic, Turkish and Chinese architecture, which combine the corners of the parks with a romantic atmosphere. The palaces and parks of the unique Tsarskoye Selo ensemble suffered considerably during the years of the Second World War. The Catherine Palace, which had been on occupied territory for twenty-eight months, was turned into charred ruins in 1944. Some park pavilions were partially or completely destroyed; other buildings of the complex were severely damaged. 🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹 #ig_ometry #visitrussia #be_one_architecture #tv_pointofview #gf_architecture #hotshotz_architecture #loves_united_architecture #architecturelovers #creative_architecture #raw_architecture #livelovearchitecture #architecture_hunter #fineart_architecture #electric_shotz #excellent_structure #architecturemasters #vivoartworld #classic_unlimited #archi_focus_on #beniculturali30 #traveling_arte #EuropeanRoyalPalaces #architecture_hunter #structure_bestshots #europestyle_russia #structure_greatshots #piter #timeless_unlimited #luxury_allworld https://www.instagram.com/p/B9zPqkfH397/?igshid=1qv7eii29x9m9
