Comments: Kitty clearly inherited her loving nature from her father, not her mother. In fact, she probably became more compassionate in reaction to her mother’s lack of compassion. She wants to give other people the care she never received herself.

Comments: Kitty’s mother is so withholding of love and affection. Instead of becoming like her, however, Kitty went the other way. She makes sure to express her love and affection to people, and her compassion extends beyond her immediate family, too, to almost anyone in pain. She became a nurse from a deep desire to help people, I’m sure, too. She took her own pain and transformed it into strength.

Comments: Today’s comic has the humor of the earliest Those ‘70s Comics. If it had more panels, we would’ve seen Donna and Eric scrambling to take control of the wheel and stopping the car (so they wouldn’t die). Also, they had to pick up Burt from the side of the road, after which Bea probably would’ve yelled at him for moving in the wrong way.
