Do you have any headcanons for when red and kitty where newly weds?
I certainly do! Thank you so much for asking 💕
Here are just a few:
-Their first apartment was shoebox small, but it was theirs, Kitty making sure to add the right touches to make it home. They lived there for 2 nearly 3 years.
-They both worked. Red at the auto parts plant and Kitty at the hospital, Red hadn't been to keen on the idea, firmly believing that now that they were married he should be the one to provide for them, for her. But Kitty loved her job, and reminded her that her extra income would help them to save up for a bigger place.
-Even though they saved funds in their savings account, they also had an old large mayonnaise jar where they collected spare change, the front of the jar had a paper taped to it that read in Kitty's swirly cursive print 'Our House'
-To treat themselves on pay day, without spending too much so that the extra savings went to their 'future house funds,' they'd go to a diner near their apartment 'Phillies' and share a piece of pie between the two of them.
-Kitty would often write him love notes and stick them in his lunchbox. A little reminder of the letters they exchanged while he was in Korea. Only these love notes were much shorter, written on scraps of paper, lighter in subject, and often more flirtatious too. Red would smirk while reading them then shove it into his pocket before anyone else saw. One or two of the notes might've made it into safe keeping in wallet.
-Early in their marriage, Kitty was dancing in kitchen to the radio while she cooked and/or baked. The apartment being so small, Red could see her dancing from wherever he was at. It would make him smile or laugh watching her, she'd dance happily by herself but more than often when a slow song would come on she'd coax Red into dancing with her. (This is part of where Red learns the advice he gives Hyde "Women wanna dance. They always wanna Dance. Always." ) "Just one," he'd tell her, but even after the song had ended he'd be holding and swaying her in his arms; until a kitchen timer went off signaling something was done cooking/baking
Thank you so much for this question @alienscareme! I loved answering it! I have a few other newlywed/early years of marriage headcanons lined up for the Random Headcanon series I've got going but feel free to ask for more head canons at any time 🥰
