The Golden Girls Without Men (S1E7 The Competition)
Dorothy and Blanche has been girlfriend since some time earlier, but she neither Sophia, nor Rose know about it. So day Dorothy couldn’t help it, and uses double meaning to make Blanche her girlfriend officially.
It’s a question not only about bowling competition, of course.
Sophia’s almost girlfriend was coming to see her after they hadn’t seen each other since the war. The result of the vision was Sophia decided to go back to Sicily for some time. Dorothy was not only going to lend her the money, but she didn’t want her Ma to risk health.
But Dorothy wanted so much Ma’s antique earrings.
So they met a bet. Dorothy was playing bowling against Blanche (this partner question) and <A teamed up with Rose who craved to win, and wanted to team up with a very good player. If Dorothy wins, no trip and earrings are her, if Ma wins, the trip and no earrings for Dorothy.
Blanche’s highly affectionate, in the open.
Honey, can you kiss me, please? (I don’t care if anybody sees.)
Blanche’s my bowling partner and my partner. We’re girlfriends. Dorothy confessed to Ma and Rose.
Sophia understood that Dorothy was faking it, and let her and Rose win, so she could go to Sicily. Upon return, Sophia gives Dorothy the antique earrings.
