The air is close and heavy. Sunlight sparkles off the water and bathes the rocky inlet in a warm glow. Gentle waves lap at the pebble beach and the cicadas hum a low, continuous note in the still air. Sounds seem to travel further when the air is heavy like this, and you can hear children splashing and playing as though they were right next to you. Far down the beach, a yellow dog barks with glee as he chases the whirling seagulls.

Propping yourself up on your elbows you look out at the turquoise water. The sun hangs low in the sky- there's time for one last dip before you cycle back to the cottage. Taking off your hat and sunglasses, you place them on the striped beach towel and make your way down to the water's edge. The hot pebbles burn your bare feet and it feels good to step into the cool water. Goosebumps rise on your sun warmed skin. Better to plunge right in than to wade out slowly. You dive under and feel the refreshing coolness envelop you. Laying back in the salty water your are weightless. It is early July and you have the whole Summer ahead of you. In a few minutes you'll cycle back to the little beach cottage and help prepare dinner. But for now, you'll float just a little while longer.

Somewhere hidden in that jungle is a beautiful beach cottage! I love the rooftop terrace surrounded by a blue wood railing!
