Beach Day the first song by Beach Day
This was the first song we wrote as a band. We were a two piece and we recorded the bulk in our friend’s home studio. We weren’t planning on having a bass player yet. We were just planning on White Striping it up. Actually we weren't really planning anything! We were just doing this for a kick. Our friend Fernando played bass on the recording. A genius bass line that I love. This version of the song is on our first 7″. Dubbed “The Smoothie Palace Version”! Then we went to our favorite South Florida studio The Dungeon and I added organ & 12 string guitar to fill out the sound. Then the song was mixed by the awesome Jim Diamond of Ghetto Recorders in Detroit. That version is the album version off of Trip Trap Attack.
