It was nice having resort-provided umbrellas and areas to keep their things... “I always burn. You will, too by the end of the day. I’ll bet you... what, ten euro?”

Open Starter - #beachevent

Hammocks were great. This mattress that was held by chains under an adorable little arch, like a giant full-size bed swing, was even better. And it had cupholders! Cupholders for the sixth Sex on the Beach he’s had today, without counting all the other drinks. Yet, he was still very lucid, somehow.

“I feel so lonely. Dating doesn’t work. Women are difficult...” And men are almost worse, he almost said. Almost. He couldn’t go around publicly with that. “I wanted to do this, all of this, just so I wouldn’t be upset and irritating, but I still want to... even though I’m so happy to be here and to lay in the sun and hear the ocean. I’m a little angry that I waited this long to do it. Part of me wonders if we would have split up if I just had done this earlier.... I don’t know.”

He turned onto his back and sighed. “You didn’t come sit with me to hear a child whine. I’m glad you came. Are you having fun?”

“I’ve been using something decent... but what fun is it if you have to reapply? I’m not here to cover myself in cream every forty minutes.” Yet, he was already starting to cover himself with the goo until it looked like he’d slathered his pink skin in mayonnaise. Or, just gone back to normal via the magic of foundation. He had no business laying out in the sun, blending in to the sand. “Do you want to hand me my drink? I don’t think I can sit up.”

“You... do you want something? You like Chi Chis?” Maybe he was leaning in a little close, but that’s what you get when Ivan’s been sitting at the bar sucking down mixed drinks and weird shots for a few hours.

We’ve seen weddings, parties, and festivals, but Ivan’s a single man and he wants to go to the beach! But what fun are beach resorts in Turkey without your friends (or frenemies)?
