I sadly was not able to get to the beach as much as I had hoped this summer, but when I did, I was sure to have my necessary beach items with me to make my time a pleasant one. (I get bored and hot very easily at the beach - I prefer to be there for about two - three hours tops.)
Havaianas neon flip flops - Flip flops are an absolutely necessity! The sand is hot, so they'll always come in handy when walking to where you will be laying out AND they are always a must have when heading over to the pretty gross bathrooms.
J.Crew tortoise shell sunglasses - No questions asked, sunglasses at the beach are a definite. My eyes are very sensitive to the sun, so I always make sure to have a pair handy when laying out (Although I tend to get the raccoon eye tan!)
Korres sugar lip treatment - Helps keep your lips moisturized and this great Chapstick has SPF 15 in it to protect your lips from the harsh sun.
Sensi Studio lightweight handbag - Its great to bring a bag that will not get damaged from the sand or water, and is pretty light so you could stuff all your goodies into it.
Paper hat - Light and perfect! Keeps your head from over heating and also a great prop to put over your head when you're ready for a nap.
Aveda haircare - This spray protects your hair from the sun and give the hair the perfect touch so it doesn't get frizzy at the beach.
Beauty product - Sunscreen is VERY VERY important, you don't want to leave the beach looking like a lobster. I normally like to bring an array of SPFs from 8 - 40, depending on how hot the sun is, and if i want to get a bit more color than last time.
Revenge Wears Prada - Always need a book by the beach! Currently reading this one and absolutely LOVE it!
