You have an underwater OC, right? Do you have ideas for what that world looks like? It's not really explored in canon so would love to know how they live!
YEAHHHH I actually made this oc because I was incredibly infatuated with the idea of city of Meropis in archie, and the aquatic character designs that came out of that! My little guy I think I have decided is some kind of ruler of a different, similar city near Meropis. I imagine it would be quite similar to living there, although Meropis isn't explored a whole lot either so I am still making up a lot of stuff! Visuals wise I think the general vibe is the same,
Here's some inside and outside visuals on Meropis just so you can get the general idea. My city is run by an 11 year old though, so the design choices would be a bit more childish and nonsensical. As a child ruler's design choices would and should be. I imagine it has a similar bubble-like forcefield over it, but a distracting amount more slides, tunnels, and the castles look like they were designed by a 10 year old. (because they were) Of course the whole city is underwater and not easily accessible by mobians who live on land, but I think the land-ocean convertible cars like echo has in sonic universe would be quite popular in that region, so the transportation is easier than it seems, at least to get into the city. Not drowning however, is a completely different issue! The mobians modeled after sea creatures can breathe both on land and in the water so of course it's not an issue for them though. And those who can only breathe on land have the air charms to help them I suppose, but those are limited. I also think it is surrounded by beach cities also along the coast, and that they are all connected! So it's like a little ocean-coastal region probably very popular for tourists! I love underwater cities in fiction they are always so pretty looking and I desperately want sega to make more fish characters. Anywayyy, the general consensus is that it would be pretty similar to a city on land, but with cartoon water logic applied (they don't float away) I also imagine they have water versions of a lot of foods that are in the sonic universe on land, to adapt for what is readily available to farm underwater. (Similar to the sea dogs in sonic prime lol)
