therapeutic beads
Do you know that beading is a very therapeutic activity? When we were invited to try out a jewellery beading class, we were hesitant - who wouldn't right ? Many perceived the 'activity' to be less fun, dull and *yawn* boring...
So when we rocked up on our scheduled class, we were quite sure it was going to be a rather long 3 hours. Thank god we have each other as company. We were given a quick tour of the place, the huge range of colourful beads - and of course, our teacher.
We were each given a set of tool box. It consist of tools like pliers (mini version, super cute!), scissors, beads of various designs and colours, strings and etc. We were quickly sat down, and the teacher commence the class almost immediately(probably eager to show us how fun this can be).
15 minutes down the road, funnily enough, we were listening to every word she was saying and paying attention! It wasn't boring at all. In fact, we couldn't wait to start on our piece!
So, why did I say it was therapeutic? Truth is we all had a rough week then - we were swarmed with work and certain projects didn't go through as hoped. Miraculously, when we began beading, we subconsciously focus on the beading process so much that we were not even thinking of the problems, the frustration and anger that we were feeling before.
So the next time when you are feeling a tad bit stress and need to find a good release channel, why not try beading ? It really helps.
