#BeAFanDay was the best thing ever though
I perfectly agree, that despite funny on the surface, the tweets are bitter, borderline offensive. But IMHO, just like Louis, he is simply fed up & stressed out with his bearding situation. Esp. as ppl are comparing the lack of chemistry between Eleanour to Sophiam, the loved up couple. Agreed, Sophiam are doing a better job at pretending, but I honestly don't see a loved up couple in any of the HQ! pictures. Fangirling Mrs. Horan is the perfect way of mocking the charade. Hope it helped Liam.
Well, okay, yeah, that is a possible reason I suppose!
Their sexual preferences are really something we don't know. I can respect all speculation but don't really have much to say in response, and don't think I necessarily agree with you. But that's okay and you may be 100% correct. If that is the situation Liam is dealing with, I can imagine it would be extremely stressful and disheartening.
Thanks for sharing!
I do not agree with you I'm sorry but he meant it as a joke and nothing else and if you cannot understand that it was a joke I'm sorry but don't make a mountain out of a molehill and make him sound like a horrible human being for what he has tweeted
No need to apologize for disagreeing!
You could very well be right and everything’s just being taken a little too seriously. I hope you are right and Liam thinks this is all funny.
If it hadn’t been for the stuff about his weight and need for fans’ approval to be a “cool kid,” I’d be with ya on this one. Because of how he seems like he feels attacked right now, the stuff on Twitter seems like a bit of a defense tactic.
I never meant to make him sound like a horrible human being and I don’t think I did. He’s great. They’re all great. They’re all dealing with an insane amount of stress (and it’s nice to know that they actually run their social media accounts. [At least sometimes.])
I don’t like that Liam is making fun of his fans simply because… That’s what I’m, like, studying and researching and stuff. Women who are fans of One Direction have enough of a problem being mocked and made fun of for what they like by the outside world. They don’t need the people they’re getting mocked for liking… To mock them. I hope that made sense.
Thanks for sharing!
Here we come, hello drama fandom
Idk if i should cry or laugh bc liam is making fun of us
Not even Liam can get 5/5 but if you're half as into Niam as Liam is into Niall right now, check out their best vintage bromantic moments RIGHT HERE.
I have to ask, what are your opinions on Liam's twitter today?
OH BOY WHERE TO BEGIN
So first of all, I would like to begin by saying that Liam is not doing well. He is clearly not okay. Something happened to set him over the edge. And I hope he resolves this issue soon.
Liam’s #BeAFanDay can be taken two ways:
Funny, cute, harmless joking with fans.
Bitter, borderline offensive, making fun of fans.
Because of his recent interactions with the online fandom (ie: being defensive about his weight, asking if he needs “to get your approval into the cool kids," etc.) I would say that the second option seems like what is currently happening. He is not being nice to us right now. I don’t really think this is necessarily coming from a nice place.
Let’s remember that Liam tried out for X Factor twice. He has always been determined to get to the position he’s in now. He is magnificently talented, world famous, and undeniably successful. But something is not going the way he thought it would. He seems like he is not enjoying the attention, he is sick of the fame, he is tired of being mentioned second (or third/fourth/fifth) after the other members of One Direction. All the things he thought he wanted are getting to him.
As much as I’d like to believe One Direction is a seamless unit that does not fight or have disagreements, I think it’s safe to assume that the boys who aren’t Harry and Niall feel some amount of resentment toward Harry and Niall. Harry and Niall get the majority of the positive attention in this group, especially lately, and this must have some affect over the other boys. Liam, and all the other boys, really, originally wanted to be solo artists. Liam never planned on sharing the spotlight or having to deal with people bypassing him to get to his bandmates.
His tweets today could’ve easily been copy and pasted directly from fans’ Twitters or Instagrams. He is openly mocking his fandom. Not usually a smart move.
I believe that we are witnessing a small breakdown. Liam has changed immensely since the inception of One Direction, and we might never know just how much this has affected him, but days like these prove that it’s not all positive. The straight-laced, rule-following boy who auditioned for X Factor would not have defied his own fanbase like Liam did today.
My opinion about his Twitter today is that it is not funny, it’s disrespectful, and I am cringing about it here in my room. I think it would be funny if it wasn’t also pretty mean. (The one about Niall’s eyes is kinda great to be honest.) I am waiting with bated breath to see if this situation will get better or if it will get worse.
What do you think?
But what if Liam started writing a Niall fanfiction with himself as the main character......
