You know, if Ben actually killed Kevin in the ultimate kev arc he would have to live with not only people resenting him for such [i.e. Kevin’s mom, Gwen, etc.]
he would also have to live with the fact he killed a guy who was His friend/teammate, sure they weren’t automatically besties but they grew into that over time. So Ben actually putting down Kevin due to going power crazy again would have a bad effect on his mental state.
As he basically murdered his best friend to save the entire universe.
