Opening up didn’t come easy to Buffy, not with her past. She and Dean...well, she’d always thought Angel was it for her. The one, the only, but now she knew better and this had all just made things clearer.
She had learned to live without Angel.
She had learned she needed Dean.
Buffy had issues admitting that aloud, opening her soul....and Dean wasn’t helping not at all.
“You going to tell me why you’re staring at me, Slayer?” Dean said, amusement lacing his tone and he stared back at her, eyes trailing up and down.
“Forget it.” Buffy replied, the big bad slayer turning chicken. “I’ll go see how Sammy is doing with his lead...”
And she turned unleft, her confessions unsaid. Though knowing Dean he knew what she was going to say...hence him making it harder. She loved Dean even if he was a jerk sometimes.
