She’s actually rather matter of fact for most things, except for when it comes to crushes

Keeps getting into wild situations accidentally. Like she’s saying goodbye to her friends after a day of training, but she decides to walk by the shops and look in the windows and the next thing you know she’s joined a random s+ team for one very intense league battle

Sometimes she goes solo in turf war when she has the extra time, needs a little extra cash, and the rest of green team is busy. One time she ran into Bamboo while going solo and they ended up on the same team!

She goes with whatever happens

Uhh writing prompt #8 with beanie and cleats.

“Your smile is not as bright as it used to be.”

It had been years since Green Team had last gathered. They still kept in contact, of course, but over time they had grown up and drifted apart, each following their own career choices. Backwards had began to use his passion as an announcer for tournaments. Safari had gone off and studied in a technical college. Beanie still took many odd jobs around town, but looked for office jobs in her free time. And Cleats had become a secretary in her father’s business, a busy job that paid well.

Organizing a meeting was difficult, with everyone’s schedule, and they now had other friends that they would talk to more often. But Beanie had managed to find the time to regain the courage to talk to her old friend and crush, and asked her to meet up with her for lunch. Cleats agreed, and they set aside a date for later.

They met up at a restaurant by Blackbelly Skate Park, and the first thing Beanie noticed was how tired Cleats looked. She had always been relatively well-rested, and always made sure the others took care of themselves. But now she gave Beanie a tired smile, and they ate a small lunch while watching kids play across the street.

They reminisced over their childhood, seeing themselves in the kids at the park. Beanie brought up the time Backwards had used his weapon as a laundry machine, and Cleats responded with the time Safari had fallen asleep in a match, and laughed together in a polite manner.

Beanie couldn’t think of anything else to say. Her friend seemed so different now. Finally, she looked up at her old friend and said: 

“You know, your smile is not as bright as it used to be.”

At once, Cleats’ polite smile vanished, and she looked back across the street with a shrug. “Life does that to you, Bean. It’s just been exhausting…”

She trailed off into silence before flagging down a waiter to pay for both their checks. Cleats and Beanie parted with a polite hug, and went back to their adult lives.
