I worked a bit on Noelle and Li-Sar in their absolutely insane LT, so for today's offering I tempt you with a preview of them meeting alone in the woods:
noelle seems fine you guys she's Fine.

I haven't done one of these in so long because I have been so very burned out for so very long. It's nice to finally feel enough like myself again to be writing again.
And I have you losers 🫵 in particular to thank for that. Thank you for hyping me up and for playing along with my bits with Noelle and for feeding me new ideas. 🥺💕
Anyway here's the best part of the cuddle fic according to me right in this moment:
"Get on the bed. We're cuddling."
Nate turns from where he stands in front of his dresser with a crooked grin on his face, one eyebrow arched in confused delight. The whole slamming his door open to demand he "get on the bed" part of this evening routine is admittedly not new, but usually it includes a 'and get those clothes off' command that has been woefully replaced for the night.
He certainly isn't woeful about it though, as he's already crossing to the bed as ordered with a "Yes, ma'am," teasingly tossed her way. His voice is a little too rough to be light.
She watches him gracefully stretch himself out on his back, watches as he turns his head to her and his smile is so bright and open. "Good boy," Noelle praises, one side of her mouth lifting in a smirk at how he squirms a little at the praise. His eyes look almost-sleepy as he watches her approach, and he arches his back a little as his tongue slips briefly between his lips.
God, it's unfair how fucking gorgeous he is.

my hope is to get both finished and posted later today, but for now!
opening lines of Sai and Noelle 'celebrating' Mother's Day in their own unique ways.

noelle, in his best friend's t-shirt and boxers, drawing a ketchup penis on her breakfast plate.
adam: ........ so I was informed you'd rather not answer to your mother. therefore you -sigh of impending exhaustion- will report to me instead.
im a little late to the party so sorry if this has been asked already but i wanna know more about We Always Speak the Truth...-ish chapter 2 🤭
tehehe thank you rian!
this is actually like 80% written i think? it's a Nate POV piece that is just very.... 🤔introspective? it's very little dialogue and just follows Nate the night of the auction, in the aftermath of Noelle's rescue. It's sort of my replacement of the "I can't do this" Nate talk in canon because Noelle's Nate would never pull that breakup-sounding shit she would be gone. you think a girl who needs road time about holding hands is going to talk it out when you look pathetic and say this won't work??????
So instead it's just a very vulnerable night where for the first time she just-- stops trying. Stops making jokes, stops pretending she's fine, stops pushing away. And it's Nate recognizing how much it means for Noelle to let him see her shattered like this, and him proving she doesn't have to fear letting herself be vulnerable with him through his actions.
He's still afraid and still wrestling with the same feelings, but instead of having some crazy Speech to scare her off they just... are afraid together, and choose each other in the midst of that fear, and that can be enough.
(there's an epilogue that i wrote partially to restore the vibes and it's the morning after, with noelle dressed in nate's clothes and sitting on the kitchen counter watching him make breakfast, and felix being like "wow so glad to see we're all Feeling Normal and nobody had a Weird Night" at her being clingy/touchy and Nate being incredibly protective/anxious.)
Hey 💕 for the WIP game, is there a fic you'd still like to talk about or share something from (but that wasn't asked?)
thank you serennnn~ 🥺💕
i'll share my current issue with A Tendency to Run and the holdup there. maybe people will have some Tips and Advice for my bean brain.
it's twofold-- one is I don't tend to do multi-chapter fics, at least not in a-- not like One Cohesive Story way. like the Noelle-Learns-How-To-Handle-Intimacy fic is less One Long Fic and more a collection of little fics in one title, yeah? but this is One Larger Fic that i have a general idea of the arc for it but am struggling with the little steps to get there. i've never been one to outline and plot and thoroughly draft so i get myself a little whelmed just at the scope of it here.
and the other part of my struggle is the fact that in my current drafts I have POV switches each chapter. Nate and Noelle swapping. Because I liked the idea of getting to see things from outside Noelle's chaotic (and unreliable) POV by having Nate's take on her, and by having Nate-centric chapters we also then get to see Rebecca's shitty fail parenting. (because i have such Big Feelings about how Rebecca ends book 1 all like, Oh No I Almost Lost My Child, I Will Do Better and immediately ghosts her kid for two months. while they are traumatized and trying to cope with how to reintegrate with normal society while knowing a Huge Secret and they could REALLY use both a mom and a mentor right now. Like??????? Girl. Jesus Christ.)
but then I wonder if I have "enough" to justify the Nate POV, and overthink the chapter lengths, and worry if it's just a little tedious perhaps to readers to see the same scenes from two sets of eyes sometimes, etc etc.
it's really not what it looks like, honest? 👀 -fauville
Is this a safe space to admit I briefly also was curious what that one was because I forgot which WIP I named that.
So this one is— sort of a collection of scenes and ideas that I’m trying to decide if I make into a cohesive story with plot between or just share as little vignettes tbh.
It’s Noelle Book 1 moments of her accidentally seeming like a vampire fetishist but honestly it’s not like that really. Like her listening to vampire erotica audiobooks at work and making them all double awkward about it because for one we’re working on murder cases here and for two that’s not even how vampire sex would work trust us. Or her Twilight Wall in her apartment they all see when they come over for the first time.
It’s actually dearest to me because it’s the origins of Road Time. Her first incident comes when they see her Twilight wall and she tells them all brb she’s going to go lay in traffic and Mason helpfully points out there Is No Traffic she’ll just be laying on the road. A tradition is born.
WIP list: strangled by the red string of fate (love this working title, noelle?) OR additional high risk uncertain reward, please 🥰 (~agentnatesewell)
eheheee because i love sharing Thoughts with you, will share more for both!
with noelle's disaster bi adventure i think my favorite ending currently is training with adam. tbd my opinion may change as i write more, but i currently really love the sibling energy they have together and i love having adam be there to sort of... 🤔 i tend to have him See a lot more of her than Nate does, in the way that he isn't blinded by love to mask her darker edges? (this reminds me I have an Adam POV of the Noelle-Fighting-Murphy fic, and it is so near and dear to my bean heart. it might come up in noelle's between books fic.)
and additional silly fluffs! ..... there's a very loose idea drifting in my drafts of some sort of Event Date (thinking along the lines of like, some community event similar to the christmas light display in the holiday game-story, something not Super Official but Official Enough) of Noelle inviting Nate as her plus one, with a potential of Bobby interaction. combines the silly Noelle Chaos of "something that isn't that serious being overwhelmingly serious to her" but also gives the opportunity to further explore how different her relationship with Nate is compared to the one she had with Bobby (of frenemies-with-dubious-benefits).
