Hey! Maybe this is unwarranted input but I just wanted to say that I too have an Anthropology degree! I ended up moving back home after undergrad and got a customer service job while I figured out what to do. Like you, nowhere that I WANTED to work seemed to really be interested in hiring me without experience. Eventually, I did decide to go back to school for a masters in Library and Information Science, and I love it so far. It's definitely a path that could align with nonprofit work in a big way if you wanted to pursue that. Public librarianship works particularly hard to serve to the undeserved. Just thought I'd share that in case it might be something you would be interested in looking into!
No I appreciate you saying!! I love Anthropology sm and I don't regret it but I'm having the same problem you were lmao. The "no experience" thing is SO fucking real. Like how am I supposed to GET experience if no one will let me try?? Library science is so cool tbh, librarians are total Rockstars and very sexy and cool
I think I might go back for a masters in social work, actually! I couldn't even flirt w the idea of this until I'm out of my current lease, so this would be next year but time will pass anyway so it's never too late to start :3
