When you think people can’t get any cooler, then you Google stalk them and you’re like, “holy cow! How are you this cool?!” I’m talking about @amagnetta, Tate and their kids Rosemary Jane and Tate Wolfgang. 🎬When Tate was 17 in the early 90s he opened @tatescomics with seed money he made buying and selling @marvel stocks (at just the right time). He met his future wife, Amanda, in this store. She was a fellow fan and patron, who helped him expand his repertoire into lowbrow comics, cult books and movies. They’ve been expanding since then (6000 square feet shopwise, and produced two actual humans), and Amanda is running the art gallery section of their empire @bearandbirdgallery. They even won the #willeisnerspirit award! How cool? Here is "Little Brown Tat" matted and framed for The Small Stuff 10 group show at @bearandbirdgallery opening on November 20th. There is going to be a lot of great art at great prices there. I originally did this drawing for #mabsdrawlloweenclub Coincidentally, it was the last page of my previous Moleskine. Last year's "bat" for Drawlloween was also the last page.
